‘Blue Valentine Scene’
Directing Workshop Scene
In a directing workshop under filmmaker Micah Barber, I was assigned to re-imagine a scene from the film “Blue Valentine.” This scene is a demonstration of a semester’s work of script analysis, casting, rehearsing, and shooting with the role of Cindy played by Paige Glover and Dean played by Connor Sedgwick. As part of our teachings, we heavily referenced the book “Directing Actors” by Judith Weston to aid us in the process of directing.
